Root Beer - Ibanez RG570

The ever reliable Ibanez RG-570 is known to be one of the fastest & smoothest playing guitars around. With the world famous ultra slim Wizard neck at the forefront of desirable components on this axe, you can close your eyes & swear you were playing IBZ's flagship Jem. Anywho... I won't be using this guitar any longer in our current setting, so I launched it on Craigslist this week (http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/msg/3103251249.html). Shoot me an offer at Duganrox@aol.com if you find yourself in need of a locking Floyd Rose equipped tone monger that sustains til next Tuesday & dive bombs like it's WWII. It's in great shape, as it's never left my house even once over the years. The finish is metal flake, & it's called Root Beer Sparkle.

Rock with me this Saturday Night (4/21) at GB Leighton's Pickle Park in Fridley

Book 'em, Dan-O

Happy New Year from Minneapolis Guitar Review.

Dan Osberg of Cottage Grove, shown here with his Jackson DK2 Dinky. Alder body with rock maple neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with 24 Jumbo frets, Seymour Duncan pickups, sharkfin inlays, & black Floyd Rose low profile JT580 LP double-locking 2-Point Tremolo. I've seen several others like this one, & these fine axes are built with a consistently that will keep them in demand for years to come.

Japan Air Strike EX-1

When Fender JAPAN released their new line of active guitars in the eighties it didn't quite have the same impact as Hiroshima, mostly due to some of the heaviest competition the market has ever seen from other exporting manufacturers. Nonetheless, they produced some fine unique axes like like this pristine example. John Ryan's 1989 Fender Heartfield EX-1 finished in Blue-Burst. This bolt on beauty came with a recessed mount licensed Floyd Rose trem, active rail pick ups, which are very hot and loud! It also has some cool electronics like a boost switch, coil splitter, and a sweep control. You might be able to catch this axe out at a show with John's band Stealin the Covers. Check out their facebook page to find a list of their scheduled performances.

WILD THING - Max with Guitar

Where the wild things are. This was a fun two layer photoshop project. Special thanks to Maurice Sendak for the wonderful childhood memories.
