Steinbergers truly have their place place in contemporary music & history. Their timely innovation in sound & design has earned them their place in the bass hall of fame & in my heart. I recall in the earliest days of The Dig (1983-84) we briefly had a manager who had been in the band "Zenner" and he tried taking away our Rick 4001 and making me play his 'berger for more contemporary relevance.
